Schoolmate 2014

Alhamdulillah, I have just came back from Aswad's house. I am definitely tired. Tired of laughing. I rarely meet my schoolmates because I rarely went back home and I usually spend my days at home with my family. So, usually our mutual semester break is during Hari Raya. I didn't meet them at all last year because you know what happened to me last year. Haha

So, this is the second time I meet them since the last time where they came to my house last week. We went to Aien's house after Zuhur and Aswad's house after Asar. It has been ages hence so many story to be shared and my stomach hurt due to laughing so much. Alhamdulillah, the bond is still there. I hope that we can be friends till Jannah, insyaAllah.

10 Months After

-Aqil Zafri-Zihnie Naeil-Dinie Zikri-

I have been wanting to write a post for so long but keep on procrastinating till today, alhamdulillah Allah have given me a chance to write at least something. Well, the truth is I myself has forgotten my own URL so urmmmm yeah let's continue with our story.

Looking at my previous post, it was 8th of September 2013 and today is exactly 10 months after! How fast time flies right? Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah. I passed my Professional 1 this time with flying colours alhamdulillah. Thank you Allah for giving me the taste of success. Few more weeks and we will start our journey as a second year medical student, insyaAllah.

Of course in these past 10 months, lots and lots of things happened and it is impossible for me to write every single thing down. BUT maybe, if I am hardworking enough, I'll post about few memorable one before it will be hidden somewhere deep in my brain.

Alhamdulillah, today I got new shoes and 2 pairs of shirts and also a book from my dad. Bought the shoes because 2 of my shoes need some mending to do so my dad thought I need a new one and you couldn't say no if one offer to buy a brand new shoes right? Well actually I did say no for a few times but after a while I thought, hmmm why not?

Okay, tomorrow my parents and I will be going to Penang to attend a wedding and also visit Pak Teh family, my dad's younger brother. It has been a few years since I met them and we will start our journey at 4.30 am tomorrow! That's what my dad said but we'll see how tomorrow. I am planning not to sleep, afraid that I might wake up late tomorrow. A lecture early in the morning from your dad is so not welcoming you know.

That's all for now. Till I write again, insyaAllah.
May peace be upon you =)

First Day First Year

Alhamdulillah. Today is the first day in my second time being a first year student. It went well for me because I only went to the first briefing only. I went to the academic office this morning to take the bioethics schedule. Met Azwa, Farah, Ayuni and Rui there. Then off we went to DK1. 1 hour briefing from Dr. Zul and it's our time to introduce ourselves to our new friend. All the repeaters went in front and introduce ourselves one by one. Since the time was so short, we only have time to choose the leader of this batch. Valentine, the chosen one.

My comment for this batch? Well, I don't know why but I think they are a bit passive. I still remember those days where everyone was so eager to voice out their opinion and how the lecture hall was so havoc. Kind of miss those days actually. Based on my observation, it also seems like there are more non Muslim than Muslim. I don't know whether I am the one being mistaken but that is what I see from down there.

Overall, I hope we can get along together and I am going to pass with flying colours. InsyaAllah

Awesome Randomness #2

I never thought that I will abandon this blog during this holiday and tadaaaa 2 more weeks I will be flying back to Kelantan, my dearest second home for the next 5 years insyaAllah. As usual as any other holiday, I have lots of things plan for the holiday but it turned the other way round. I copied movies and dramas from my friends but only watched a few, planned to read RAM collection but read none of it. It is already half way through the month of Shawal. I hope I will be able to meet the next Ramadhan. Ameen.

Towards the end of Ramadhan, I was busy baking cookies with my mum. We only baked the pineapple tart and the normal chocolate chip cookies this year. However since the we cooked ourself the pineapple jam, it was a really tiring process. We went to the Klang Wet Market to buy the pineapple and it was raining cats and dogs by the time we have finished buying all the things and I have to make few trips to and fro the car to put all the goods inside the car. I was soaking wet by the time I'm done.

While my mum and I were preparing the jam, I purposely said to her that since I have to repeat my first year, so it will take a longer time for me to get married. Then she said, "Cepat ke lambat ke kalau tak ada calon tak guna juga,". Okay sentap di situ. Then she asked whether I have a special someone. Well, of course NO. I am proud of the fact that I have been single all my life. I even asked her to find my soon to be husband but she said no. Hahaha poor me. Before this, my mum was totally against the concept of marrying when you are still studying but I told her lots of doctors and medical students get married before they graduate so my mum gave her last word, "Kalau nak kahwin pun, biar larh waktu 4th year nanti," Okay mum, I got it. 4 years more than so insyaAllah by the time I would be 23-24 years old. Just nice.

Turning 20

This year would be the first time that I celebrated my birthday far far away from my family. It has been 20 years since I was born in this world. TWENTY huh? Such a big number and it is a new change since it start with the number 2. Sound like an adult already but I know I'm not prepared yet.

Nothing special this year since we are having our study week for the professional exam that day. Ergh, the perks of having your birthday during the study week. Quite a normal day actually and alhamdulillah no surprises at all. I was quite scared when the clock strikes 12 at midnight. Afraid that they will ask me to do something something but I just had a normal peaceful birthday wishes from my friends and ended up sleeping alone in the room at that night. T_T

What do I feel after turning 20? Hmmm, at that time since I was piled up with the lecture notes, I don't really feel anything but right now I know I need to make a vision. As I said in my previous previous post, I need to picture myself in 10 years time. What will I become, what will I achieve either in the work life and also my personal life. Something that I realized in Kelantan is that I am the type of person who can't live without early plan or else my life will be kind of meaningless in such a way that I'll just go with the flow and at the end of the day I will not know what have I learnt or achieved from what I have went through. So let us put on our thinking cap!

Study Week #3

This thing does not really happen during the study week. It was during the weekend when we have only 2 papers left which is MCQ. There was a carnival organized by TV9 in Masjid Kubang Kerian which is only walking distance from USM. To be honest, everywhere is walking distance since we have a very healthy lifestyle here that we walked everywhere except for place such as KB Mall or the airport. Giler?

Anyway, there was a talk by Prof Muhaya and we planned to go to the pillow talk session as it sound more private and thought that we'll be closer to her. However, I don't know how I totally forgot about the carnival the night before. I slept in the surau and woke up during Subuh just to continue my sleep in the room. Naem woke me up around 7 and asked me whether I wanna go and I just answered we'll go later. In reality, I didn't understand what she was talking about and all I wanted to do at that time was to continue my sleep.

I didn't remember what time we finally start walking. Off we went with Tasnim feeling so excited to meet Prof Muhaya. I brought a book written by Prof Muhaya so that I can ask for her signature. We were late as expected. We joined the "Tanyalah Ustazah" programme but since there were so many people, they still haven't start recording by the time we arrived. We got the backseats. Served us right. Eventhough Prof Muhaya seemed so small from our view but alhamdulillah the audio is clear and loud enough. Still, in the end I did not manage to get her signature as there were so many people.

Study Week #2

During the second week of study week, I started studying full time in surau. Since the surau is only few steps away from my room so there is not much difference anyway. There are few other people studying in the surau with me as well and what I want to highlight in this post is this unique rempeyek Ainul gave me. I am not a big fan of rempeyek but I do love eating one. Why am I talking like this right now? Okay, so the last time I ate rempeyek was the one given by my BM teacher. She is such a dear teacher and I miss her so. I did not have the chance to take picture of the rempeyek she gave us which is unique as well because it is made mainly of groundnuts that you can't see any part of the flour. Getting back to Ainul's rempeyek, it is so cute and tasty as well! Dear Ainul who I know won't be reading this entry, I love the rempeyek so much so please ask Ummi to bring more rempeyek next time okay =)
